The doctors are great and welcoming so is most of the staff at the desk but nurses often seem very rushed and don't care to really give quality care to their patients, which I know is hard to do sometimes. Although being a student hoping to go into nursing, I KNOW nurses must always stay positive and make every patient feel cared about. Damn lady was in and poked me with Gardasil without saying pretty much anything and left all in a time period of about 40 seconds, no words afterwards.
They are terrible about getting you records if you need them or move away. After weeks of calling to get them transferred, I had to eventually just have my new doctor call the office and have them transferred because they never did it when I called. I was trying to get them for my daughter to get in to a new daycare, and because I never got her records, it delayed her getting in. Very poor customer service.
In full disclosure, this review has no bearing on the quality of doctors at Palmetto Pediatrics. However, the office manager and lady who handles payments are beyond rude. Recently, we received a bill for services rendered after the birth of our child. It came four months after the fact, but no big deal. I called the office, and Palmetto Pediatrics stated insurance had denied the claim. Not wanting to have an outstanding balance anywhere we made the full payment with the reassurance that we would promptly be issued a refund up payment from insurance. Come to find out, insurance had paid Palmetto Pediatrics, and the check cleared after they called us to give an update and when we made the payment to them. After finding this out and trying to get a refund for over a week on something insurance paid for, Palmetto Pediatrics told us countless different things all of which were shady or untrue. Finally, Palmetto Pediatrics told us our check would go in the mail. After everything, they couldn't even apologize for the miscommunication. I'm so glad I listened to friends and never chose them as our pediatricians. If you're into shady people and jokers, check them out. They get five stars in that department.
The worse experience I have ever had anywhere. They NEVER answer their nurse line, they NEVER call you back, always wait over 30 min to even be called back, and 30 min to even have the doctor walk in. They have messed up my children's prescriptions numerous amount of times.
I was a teen mom, brand-new to everything bay and Dr. Salyer never once judged, She was very helpful and reassuring. When I had my second I was glad to know she was still at palmetto to take care of him as well.
I have been using Dr. Salyer for almost five years now, I highly recommend her. She's very attentive and patient, She answer every question with understanding.
Great Office, Polite staff and very quick in and out.
All employees are super sweet, also helpful.
