she should get a minus star. I went in as a new patient. I am 62 years old. I have been taking blood pressure med and thyroid for over 20 years. I only needed my thyroid blood work done that was due. She flipped the whole conversation into a truck load of test she was going to run. I said no your not. She then said I won't fill your scripts then. I thought what a greedy , cold hearted , witch. She has no bed side manners. No personality at all. I waited over 50 minutes for the appointment. I can not even write the complete exchange with this person, it is way to upsetting. I got up and walked out. Waste of time and money. do yourself a favor and find a real doctor.
First visit she hardly looked up from her computer at me, I gave her a second chance and left shocked at how disinterested she was in answering my questions. She walked in felt my abdomen I had started to tell her about my arm and wanted to ask about a remark in my medical findings results and she said "just a moment" as she continued on her computer, stood up and said let me grab your referral sheet and never came back. I was with her approximately 1-2 minutes and needed to talk with her about severe pain in my arm/shoulder along with Ct results, I told her nurse and she responded she's with another patient ( as in she's done with your appointment) . I left shocked and very upset, I've always had a great repoire with my doctors.
I think that Dr Burnett is a wonderful doctor and the nurses are kind, the only reason why I gave 3 stars is due to their receptionists. Most of them are rude and not helpful. When I needed help on a bill they never would call me back (after 3 voicemails and even speaking to two employees, I still wasn't helped.) Not only was I not helped, but they never put any notes in my chart of my phone calls/issue, which is extremely unprofessional. I'm considering finding a new doctor due to the terrible staffing. It's very unfortunate, especially since the doctors care is so great.
My scheduled appointment was for an annual physical as a new patient. I had tried to schedule an appointment last spring when I was sick and was told I had to schedule a new patient appointment before I could come in for a sick visit. I scheduled the appointment over a week in advance and selected annual physical as a new patient. The day before the appointment, I had a muscle spasm in my lower back. I've had this happen before and with rest it heals. I went in for my new patient annual physical and made the mistake of mentioning the muscle spasm in my back. This doctor decided to turn my annual physical into an appointment about my back. She looked at my back and ordered X-rays and prescriptions. I did not go for the X-rays or buy the prescriptions because these things are not needed for a muscle spasm. I left the appointment thinking it was the worst new patient annual physical I've ever had. Then the bill came and I found out that the doctor decided, without my knowledge, to change my appointment to a sick visit and not code it as it should have been. My insurance would have paid the full amount for a new patient annual physical. So, now I have a bill for a doctor to look at my back and order unnecessary X-rays and prescriptions. The office manager said they cannot change the coding on my bill because it could be considered fraud. I guess my understanding of fraud is different from this doctor's, in assuming that going to an appointment scheduled as an annual physical would be just that and would be coded appropriately. The irony is, I could not get an appointment when I was sick, so I went for a new patient visit and was charged for a sick visit. This, to me is fraud.
